Description
Paeonia x ‘Julia Rose’ is a stunning Itoh peony hybrid that combines the best traits of both herbaceous and tree peonies, resulting in a hardy, long-lasting bloom with exceptional vigor. Developed through a cross between herbaceous and tree peonies, this cultivar produces large, semi-double to double, soft pink flowers with a subtle yellow center that gradually fades, offering a delicate and elegant display in late spring to early summer. Known for its strong stems and delightful fragrance, ‘Julia Rose’ is also praised for its disease resistance and ability to thrive in a range of garden settings, including borders and mixed perennial beds. Its unique hybrid origin gives it superior resilience compared to traditional herbaceous peonies, often reblooming and maintaining foliage well into the growing season. This cultivar has been celebrated by horticultural societies for its beauty and performance, making it a favorite among gardeners seeking a reliable and visually striking perennial.
