Description
Paeonia x ‘Coral Charm’ is a striking herbaceous peony known for its large, semi-double blooms that showcase a captivating coral-pink hue, which gradually fades to a softer apricot as the flowers mature. This hybrid cultivar, developed in Japan and introduced to the market in the late 20th century, combines the robust growth and bloom quality typical of intersectional (Itoh) peonies, a cross between herbaceous and tree peonies. ‘Coral Charm’ is celebrated for its long-lasting flowers and strong stems, making it an excellent choice for cut flower arrangements and garden displays alike. It thrives in full sun with well-drained soil and offers a delightful fragrance that adds sensory appeal to perennial borders. The plant’s lush, dark green foliage provides an attractive backdrop throughout the growing season, dying back cleanly in fall. Praised by gardeners and horticulturists for its vivid coloration and reliable bloom performance, ‘Coral Charm’ has earned recognition for its ornamental value in perennial garden collections.
