Description
Impatiens x hybrida SunPatiens ‘Mixture’ is a vibrant cultivar of New Guinea impatiens celebrated for its exceptional sun tolerance and prolific blooming habit. Unlike traditional impatiens that prefer shade, SunPatiens thrive in full sun to partial shade, producing large, colorful flowers in a broad palette of reds, pinks, purples, and whites that can enliven garden beds, containers, and borders throughout the growing season. Originating from hybridization efforts to combine the bright colors and robust form of New Guinea impatiens with enhanced heat and drought tolerance, this variety offers improved resistance to common diseases such as downy mildew. Its glossy, dark green foliage provides an attractive backdrop for the vivid blooms, making it a versatile choice for gardeners seeking reliable color in challenging sunny locations. SunPatiens have been widely recognized by horticultural experts and gardening communities for their breakthrough in expanding the usability of impatiens in warmer climates.
