Description
Hemerocallis x ‘Happy Returns’ Daylily is a widely celebrated perennial known for its exceptional reblooming ability, producing vibrant, lemon-yellow flowers repeatedly throughout the growing season from early summer to fall. Unlike many daylilies that bloom just once per season, ‘Happy Returns’ offers continuous color, making it a favorite for gardeners seeking long-lasting floral displays with minimal maintenance. This cultivar features narrow, grass-like foliage that remains tidy and evergreen in mild climates, providing year-round interest. Its compact clumping habit and adaptability to various soil types and light conditions—thriving in full sun to partial shade—make it an ideal choice for borders, containers, and naturalized garden settings. Introduced by horticulturists to enhance the reblooming trait of traditional daylilies, ‘Happy Returns’ has become a staple in landscapes due to its resilience, deer resistance, and ease of care. Recognized for its outstanding performance and garden value, it has garnered acclaim within the perennial plant community for bringing extended beauty and versatility to garden designs.
