Description
Ginkgo biloba ‘Chi-Chi’ is a distinctive dwarf cultivar of the ancient Maidenhair Tree, renowned for its fan-shaped, bright green leaves that turn a striking golden yellow in autumn. Originating from the famously resilient Ginkgo biloba species—often referred to as a living fossil dating back over 200 million years—’Chi-Chi’ offers a compact, slow-growing habit ideal for limited spaces and container planting. This cultivar maintains the classic bilobed leaf form and is valued for its exceptional tolerance to urban pollution, pests, and diseases, making it a durable and low-maintenance addition to landscapes. Its unique aesthetic and historical significance contribute to its popularity among gardeners and collectors seeking both beauty and botanical heritage.
