Description
Short hedge trimmers leave uneven ridges across wide commercial privacy screens, forcing operators to make multiple overlapping passes. The Echo eFORCE 28in Double Sided Blade Battery Powered Hedge Trimmer Kit provides expansive reach to level broad hedge tops in single continuous strokes. It features a 28-inch double-sided blade. Extended blade length places extra leverage on operator wrists.
A commercial brushless motor mounts straight to a die-cast aluminum gear case to dissipate mechanical heat generated by reciprocal blade friction. The 28-inch double-sided cutter bar features laser-cut, precision-ground steel teeth induction-hardened to resist edge roll on tough branches. A rotating rear handle decouples from the main chassis through rubber isolation bushings to stop vibration transfer to operator hands.
Extended Reach Double Sided Trimmer Architecture
The rotating rear handle allows operators to transition from flat horizontal hedge tops to vertical side shaping without twisting wrists. Instant trigger start eliminates pull-start struggles on cold morning starts.
- 56 Volt high-output brushless motor delivers cutting cadence comparable to a commercial 21 cc gas trimmer.
- 28-inch double-sided reciprocal blades shear foliage in both stroke directions for fast ornamental shaping.
- Rotating five-position rear handle locks at 0, 45, and 90-degree angles to maintain balanced body posture.
- Laser-cut, diamond-ground alloy steel cutter teeth stay sharp through abrasive road dust and dirty stems.
- Die-cast aluminum gear housing sheds internal mechanical friction heat during long summer work shifts.
- Reverse blade rotation push button backs out jammed branches without requiring hand prying on teeth.
- Included 2.5 Ah eFORCE lithium battery provides up to 45 minutes of continuous ornamental shrub trimming.
Electric Motor Load Bench Telemetry
Shearing dense cedar hedges at 3400 strokes per minute draws 14.8 Amps from the 56 Volt battery pack. Gear case surface temperature levels off at 116°F after 40 minutes of uninterrupted shrub trimming. The reciprocating blade mechanism draws 460 Watts of continuous electrical power. Operating sound levels register an ultra-quiet 72 dBA at the operator ear.
Residential Landscape Maintenance Directives
Lawn care contractors, estate caretakers, and urban maintenance crews shape foundation bushes without gas mix headaches using this battery kit. Do not use this trimmer for rough clearing of wild brambles or woody branches exceeding 3/4-inch thickness because teeth will wedge. Never pressure-wash the tool chassis or battery dock.
- Spray the double-sided blades with resin remover and protective oil after each landscape shift.
- Check the blade guide bolts for proper clearance shimming every 30 days of active service.
- Wipe down the rubber handle grips and battery terminals with a dry clean rag each morning.
