Description
Hedge trimmers with fixed gear cases force workers into awkward body postures when shearing tall shrubs or low foundation foliage. The Echo eFORCE 21in Double Sided Blade Battery Powered Hedge Trimmer Kit features a multi-position articulating cutter head to adjust cutting angles from ground level. It features a 21-inch double-sided blade. The articulating gear pivot adds forward reach mass.
A commercial brushless motor mounts inside an extruded aluminum housing that channels heat away from the internal electronic controller. The double-sided cutter bar features alloy tool steel teeth diamond-ground on three edges and induction-hardened to resist dulling against dirty bark. Hardened steel bevel gears run inside a heavy cast-aluminum articulating joint that locks across ten positive mechanical detents without slipping under cutting load.
Articulating Cordless Hedge Shaper Platform
Ten-position cutter head articulation allows crews to shear flat hedge tops and recessed shrub bases without bending over or climbing ladders. The high-capacity battery system delivers immediate throttle response with zero pull-cord hassle.
- 56 Volt high-output brushless motor generates cutting cadence comparable to a commercial 21 cc gas trimmer.
- 21-inch double-sided reciprocal blades shear foliage in both stroke directions for fast ornamental shaping.
- Articulating cutter head pivots 135 degrees across ten positive detent stops for custom angle cutting.
- Laser-cut, diamond-ground alloy steel cutter teeth stay sharp through abrasive road dust and dirty stems.
- Die-cast aluminum gear housing sheds internal mechanical friction heat during long summer work shifts.
- Reverse blade rotation push button backs out jammed branches without requiring hand prying on teeth.
- Included 2.5 Ah eFORCE lithium battery provides up to 45 minutes of continuous ornamental shrub trimming.
Electric Motor Load Bench Telemetry
Shearing dense cedar hedges at 3600 strokes per minute draws 14.2 Amps from the 56 Volt battery pack. Gear case surface temperature levels off at 116°F after 35 minutes of uninterrupted shrub trimming. The reciprocating blade mechanism draws 450 Watts of continuous electrical power. Operating sound levels register an ultra-quiet 72 dBA at the operator ear.
Residential Landscape Maintenance Directives
Lawn care contractors, estate caretakers, and urban maintenance crews shape foundation bushes without gas mix headaches using this articulating kit. Do not use this trimmer for rough clearing of wild brambles or woody branches exceeding 3/4-inch thickness because teeth will wedge. Never pressure-wash the tool chassis or battery dock.
- Spray the double-sided blades with resin remover and protective oil after each landscape shift.
- Check the articulating joint locking pins for wear and snug the pivot bolt every 30 days of service.
- Wipe down the rubber handle grips and battery terminals with a dry clean rag each morning.
