Description
Dianthus x Scent First® ‘WP05 Yves’ Coconut Surprise Pinks is a fragrant, compact perennial known for its delightful coconut-scented blooms and vibrant pink flowers with a charming white eye. This cultivar is part of the Scent First® series, developed to combine the classic appeal of Dianthus—often referred to as “pinks” due to the fringed edges of their petals—with enhanced fragrance and improved garden performance. Originating from careful hybridization efforts to bring out both ornamental beauty and scent, Coconut Surprise Pinks feature a tidy mounding habit, making them ideal for borders, containers, and rock gardens. The plant thrives in full sun and well-drained soil, attracting pollinators while providing long-lasting color from late spring through summer. Recognized for its superior fragrance and garden versatility, this Dianthus variant adds both sensory appeal and textural interest to perennial landscapes.
