Description
Clematis x New World™ ‘Evipo028’ Shimmer Clematis is a modern large-flowered clematis bred in the UK as part of the New World™ series, developed to bring refined color, strong garden performance, and improved disease resistance to contemporary landscapes. Shimmer is distinguished by its luminous mauve-pink flowers, highlighted with deeper rose central bars and a soft silvery sheen that gives the blooms a glowing, iridescent appearance in sunlight. The generously sized, star-shaped flowers are borne abundantly from late spring into summer, with reliable repeat flowering when lightly pruned. Compact yet vigorous, this deciduous climbing vine is well suited for trellises, arbors, obelisks, and containers, making it especially valuable for smaller gardens and patios. Bred by the renowned clematis breeder Raymond Evison, the New World™ series reflects a focus on improved habit, floriferousness, and ornamental impact, and Shimmer exemplifies this breeding goal with its elegant coloration and dependable garden performance.
