Description
Clematis x Boulevard® Edda™ (‘Evipo074’) is a compact, free-flowering clematis cultivar renowned for its vibrant lavender-purple blooms adorned with a striking magenta-pink central bar. Each flower, measuring approximately 4–5 inches in diameter, comprises 6 to 10 sepals, imparting a semi-double appearance. This variety exhibits a profuse blooming period from June through September, often producing a second flush of flowers as new stems emerge during the season. Introduced at the 2014 Chelsea Flower Show as part of Raymond Evison’s gold-medal-winning exhibit, ‘Edda’ has gained popularity for its suitability in containers, hanging baskets, and small garden spaces. Its compact growth habit, reaching heights of 3 to 4 feet and spreads of 2 to 3 feet, along with its resistance to deer and rabbits, makes it an excellent choice for gardeners seeking a low-maintenance yet visually striking addition to their landscape.
