Description
Buddleia x Lo & Behold ® ‘SMNBDD’ Ruby Chip Butterfly Bush is a compact, deciduous shrub prized for its vibrant ruby-red flower spikes that attract butterflies and hummingbirds, making it a favorite for pollinator-friendly gardens. This cultivar, part of the innovative Lo & Behold® series developed for smaller spaces, features a tidy, mounding habit reaching about 2 to 3 feet in height, perfect for containers or limited garden areas. Its foliage is a rich green, providing a striking contrast to the intense flower color that blooms profusely from summer into fall. Originating from hybridized Buddleia species, ‘Ruby Chip’ was bred to deliver the beauty and butterfly-attracting qualities of traditional butterfly bushes but with a more compact size and improved cold hardiness. Recognized for its excellent landscape performance and ease of care, this cultivar has garnered attention from horticultural experts and gardeners seeking vibrant, pollinator-friendly plants suited to contemporary garden designs.
