Description
Buddleja x Lo & Behold ‘Blue Chip Jr.’ Butterfly Bush is a compact and highly ornamental shrub prized for its vibrant, fragrant blue flowers that bloom profusely from summer through fall. Developed through careful hybridization to deliver a smaller, more manageable size than traditional butterfly bushes, ‘Blue Chip Jr.’ typically reaches just 2 to 3 feet in height, making it ideal for smaller gardens and container planting. This cultivar is particularly valued for its strong resistance to common pests and diseases, as well as its proven drought tolerance once established. Native to Asia but widely naturalized and cultivated worldwide, butterfly bushes have long been celebrated for attracting pollinators such as butterflies and hummingbirds, contributing to garden biodiversity. ‘Blue Chip Jr.’ continues this legacy with an improved reblooming habit and a sturdy, compact growth form that sets it apart in both residential and commercial landscapes.
