Description
Brassica oleracea Peacock ‘White’ Ornamental Kale is a striking biennial plant prized for its vibrant, ruffled foliage that resembles delicate peacock feathers, showcasing a captivating white to creamy hue contrasted by deep green outer leaves. Originating from the cultivated varieties of Brassica oleracea, this ornamental kale has been selectively bred for its decorative appeal rather than edibility, making it a popular choice in fall and winter garden displays. Its cold tolerance allows the foliage to intensify in color as temperatures drop, providing extended seasonal interest in landscapes and container arrangements. The unique texture and coloration of ‘Peacock White’ make it a standout among ornamental kales, often used to add contrast and visual intrigue in borders and mass plantings. Renowned for its adaptability and low maintenance, this cultivar highlights the ornamental potential of a species traditionally known for food crops, bridging horticultural beauty with robust garden performance.
