Description
Acorus gramineus ‘Aureopusillus Minimus,’ commonly known as Sweet Flag, is a distinctive evergreen perennial valued for its striking narrow, grass-like leaves that showcase vibrant yellow variegation, creating a bright splash of color in shady garden areas or water features. Native to East Asia, this cultivar is a dwarf selection distinguished by its compact growth habit and bright golden-yellow foliage, which adds texture and contrast to mixed borders, container gardens, and pond edges. Traditionally, Acorus gramineus has been used for its aromatic qualities and as a ground cover in moist environments, thriving in wet or boggy soils while tolerating partial to full shade. Its unique blend of ornamental appeal and adaptability to wet landscapes makes ‘Aureopusillus Minimus’ a popular choice for gardeners seeking low-maintenance, visually striking plants for challenging shady, damp spots.
