Description

Drain raw sewage, fibrous solids, and wastewater from commercial collection basins on schedule. The Tsurumi Electric Submersible Pump unit clears debris-laden water without clogging internal flow passages. A 1.0-horsepower electric motor turns an abrasive-resistant cast-iron vortex impeller. The 1.38-inch spherical solids clearance stops passage of large construction rubble and broken brick chunks.

Rugged cast-iron forms the motor frame, volute casing, and pump base to resist corrosive sewage gases. A cast-iron vortex impeller creates centrifugal fluid whirlpools that draw stringy solids through the casing without blade contact. Dual silicon carbide mechanical seals run inside an oil lifter chamber to survive dry running. Thermal motor protection shuts down electrical feed during high-temperature events. Top-discharge geometry cools the motor housing.

Vortex Sewage Mechanical Details

Municipal technicians pump fibrous wastewater from treatment sumps without mechanical blockages. The internal oil lifter protects mechanical seals even if the pump runs dry.

  • Continuous-duty 1.0-horsepower motor operates on standard single-phase 115-volt utility power
  • Cast-iron vortex impeller passes spherical solids up to 1.38-inch diameter
  • Silicon carbide mechanical seals run inside an oil chamber for dry-run protection
  • Built-in thermal switch protects electric motor windings from severe overheat damage
  • Internal oil lifter lubricates mechanical seals during shallow low-water conditions
  • Heavy 32-foot rubber power cord includes strain relief to prevent electrical shorts
  • Standard 2-inch discharge fitting connects straight to commercial sewer pipe lines

Motor Stress Dyno Telemetry

Dynamometer bench testing demonstrates the motor draws 9.8 Amps across 115-volt power under a 25-foot dynamic discharge head. Pump output stabilizes at 74 GPM through 50 feet of 2-inch discharge pipe. Motor stator temperature reaches 146°F during extended low-water operation. Acoustic sensors record 58 dBA submerged and 65 dBA above the water line.

Jobsite Operation Mechanical Realities

You lower this pump into wet wells using a steel guide rail system or top lifting chain. The heavy cast-iron base stays stable on sludge-covered sump floors. Do not pick up or move this machine by the rubber power cable. Yanking the electrical cord pulls wires from internal terminals and causes electrical shocks.

  • Inspect the vortex passage for wrapped rags before lowering into wet wells
  • Check seal chamber lubricating oil clarity through the inspection port yearly
  • Wash the exterior pump housing with fresh water after septic chamber servicing

Factory Warranty Coverage Terms

Tsurumi covers this submersible sewage pump with a 2-Year limited commercial warranty. The factory crate contains the submersible pump, 32-foot power cable, 2-inch discharge companion flange, and comprehensive operational guide.
