Description
Viola x wittrockiana ‘Pure Rose’ Pansy is a vibrant and charming garden favorite known for its large, velvety blooms in a delicate pure rose hue that adds a soft splash of color to any landscape or container garden. A hybrid pansy developed from the Viola genus, this cultivar combines the classic five-petal form with enhanced flower size and color intensity, making it a standout in spring and fall gardens. Originating from extensive breeding efforts dating back to the 19th century in Europe, pansies have long been prized for their cool-season performance, ease of growth, and versatility. ‘Pure Rose’ is celebrated not only for its unique, eye-catching coloration but also for its robust nature, thriving in cooler climates with moderate moisture and partial sun to full sun exposure. This pansy variety continues to be favored among gardeners and landscapers for its ability to create continuous color displays and its resistance to typical garden pests and diseases.
