This hybrid, combining the delicate, fringed petals of Dianthus chinensis with the robust flower heads of Dianthus barbatus, offers a unique blend of fragrance and visual texture. Historically, Sweet William has been cultivated since the 18th century and is prized for its versatility in borders, rock gardens, and as a cut flower. The ‘White’ cultivar stands out for its strikingly clean, bright white flowers that attract pollinators like butterflies and bees, making it both an ornamental and ecological asset.
