Description
Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’ Catmint is a robust and vigorous perennial known for its large size and prolific lavender-blue flower spikes that bloom from late spring through summer, often attracting pollinators like bees and butterflies. Originating from the Nepeta genus native to Europe and Asia, this cultivar was developed to provide an oversized, long-blooming variety with aromatic foliage that emits a pleasant minty scent when brushed. Its sprawling growth habit, reaching up to 3 feet in height and width, makes it an excellent choice for borders, ground covers, and wildlife gardens. Nepeta ‘Six Hills Giant’ is valued for its drought tolerance, deer resistance, and ability to thrive in a wide range of soil conditions, making it both a low-maintenance and ecologically beneficial landscape plant. This variety has become a favorite among gardeners for its combination of hardiness and ornamental appeal, often highlighted in extension publications and perennial plant guides for its outstanding garden performance.
